Summer Project 2017
Expansion and Development of Missionary Work among the Indigenous people in Guamote, Ecuador
The Indigenous people of Ecuador or Native Ecuadorians, are the groups of people who were descendant of the Inca tribe when Europeans arrived. These communities have long been considered out of reach because of their location high in the mountains and lack of safe transportation. Many of these groups still continue to live high in the Andes Mountain Range.
Upon visiting (with a few other missionaries) the indigenous villages in Guamote, Ecuador, I found they have great hunger for the word of God. The Indigenous Christian community has begged us to send them teachers to educate them in the Word. This community has a huge population of growing children and youth in their villages. I am sure most of them are part of God’s plan to save that community and to show the will of God to the future generations.
It is my vision to bring support to the Christian community of Guamote: young and old, and to evangelize the community as well as help them to construct their church temple.
When people hear about this project, most of them would like to go to Guamote and help build that community, but there might be certain factors or resources, which limit their availability. However, one way to help is to unite resources in order to bring the needed help through a specialized team. This will maximize those resources. Your donation to Operation Ecuador will greatly help and will be used in four specific areas:
- To bring missionary groups to instruct the Christian community of Guamote
- Begin an initiative to evangelize the whole community
- Build up a house of worship
- Begin other Christian training in the village.
Your donations will touch Guamote’s villagers.
